our environment

  • We attempt to use as little paper as possible and try to recycle whatever we can. Each of our offices uses a local paper shredding/recycling company to keep emissions to a minimum. For example, our Telford office on average recycles 108.37 kgs of paper per month which is collected PHS Datashred, and made into toilet rolls.

  • We have invested in a television conference facility between our Telford and Kidderminster offices, reducing the need for our employees to travel for meetings.

  • We recycle redundant IT equipment and ink cartridges with regular visits by Recycle IT4U Ltd.

We also organise for our PCs' and Laptops to be refurbed and re-sold as 2nd user items where possible, or if this is not suitable they are broken down into base components and recycled. Further to this recycling we organise for Hard Drives of 20Gb or more to be wiped and re-used in refurbed PC's or used as external Hard Drives for support engineers. Any PC's, Laptops or Hard Drives below 20Gb are sent to a specialist centre in Gloucester where the metal and plastic components are separated. The metals are smelted and re-used in products for the construction industry.

Our ICT Plastics are shredded and recycled into products for the construction industry and or general household consumer items.

Electrical cabling is stripped back to the copper components and these are re-used.  The rubbers/pvc and other plastics in the sleeving are again shredded and recycled into household products.

  • We encourage our clients, contacts and email recipients to respect the environment and save paper.

  • At our last AGM, we launched our ‘Bag for Life’, providing all staff with a sustainable re-usable bag.

  • For occasional large quantities of waste paper at our Worcester office, we use Enviroshred, a company based on a Herefordshire farm. They turn the paper into a grey mulch and feed it to worms. Over the period of 2 years the worms turn the mulch into compost.

  • The paper we buy in from a company called Lyreco is from sustainable forests.

  • We are members of Legal Sector Alliance which is an inclusive movement of law firms and organisations committed to working collaboratively to take action on climate change by reducing their carbon footprint and adopting environmentally sustainable practices.
