Steven Holden Steven is an associate at mfg Solicitors and is an experienced tax professional. He is the tax and trust manager at mfg Solicitors, specialising in working with trustees and private clients (individuals) to manage their tax affairs. Having previously worked for two of the top ten accountancy and business services providers in the UK, Steven contributes a vast and reputable knowledge of the sector to the firm. Areas of expertise: Although he advises on all aspects of taxation his particular areas of expertise comprise income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, and VAT. In addition, Steven also possesses an extensive specialist knowledge of trust taxation, accounting and administration, including charitable trusts. As well as providing tax advice Steven also deals with tax compliance for many of our clients, from assisting them in their tax repayment claims or tax returns right through to handling tax enquiries from HM Revenue & Customs on their behalf. Membership of professional bodies and organisations: Steven holds a BA (Hons) in Accounting and is a full member of the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) of which he currently sits on the Member and Student Services Committee. He also offers his time as a volunteer for the tax charity Tax Help for Older People (TOP) providing free tax surgeries to pensioners on low incomes. |
