Maynard Burton - Head of Division With more than 25 years' experience as a practising solicitor, Maynard Burton contributes a wealth of knowledge to his position as chairman of mfg Solicitors. Areas of expertise: Maynard brings with him a vast and reputable expertise in a range of law matters but particularly specialises in commercial property. With a detailed knowledge and understanding of all laws issues relating to commercial property transactions, Maynard is able to advise the full range of mfg clients on topics such as the buying, selling and leasing of commercial properties, covering the acquisition of commercial development sites for both residential and commercial purposes. An expert in his field, Maynard particularly specialises in dealing with the sale and acquisition of licensed premises such as hotels, pubs, bars and clubs. |

Simon Cooke - Head of Division Simon Cooke joined mfg in January 2006 when his previous firm Simon Bishop & Partners was acquired by mfg. He is a partner in the commercial property division. Areas of expertise: With more than 21 years of experience in property law, Simon has exceptional expertise in his field, specialising in commercial property and residential development work. He also has advanced professional knowledge of business purchases, with an emphasis on the healthcare sector, and has particular expertise in the review of any commercial leases that may fall within a portfolio being acquired. |

Richard Connolly Partner Richard Connolly is a qualified solicitor who works in the Commercial Property division at the Worcester office. He qualified as a solicitor in 1993 after accumulating experience through a former career with Grand Metropolitan and Pan Am in London in hotel administration and management. Areas of expertise: Richard is a member of the Board of Management of mfg solicitors LLP. He specialises in all aspects of residential property and commercial transactions, including landlord and tenant, leasehold enfranchisement, development work, and barn conversions. |

Justin Parker Justin Parker works within the commercial property division at mfg Solicitors. As a partner, he covers a wide range of issues. Areas of expertise: Justin’s particular areas of expertise include leases, sale and purchase, commercial and residential development and financial matters. Previously, Justin has been an external examiner appointed by the Law Society. He holds a Degree in Law from the University of Reading and Postgraduate Diplomas in Legal Practice and Notarial Practice respectively from the Universities of Wolverhampton and Cambridge. Michael Payne Michael Payne is a partner and part of the commercial property division for mfg. He is also office partner at the firm’s Shropshire office in Telford. Areas of expertise: With nearly 40 years working in the legal profession, Michael is a valuable asset to the firm. He advises the full range of mfg business clients on matters of corporate law. Michael has a detailed knowledge and understanding of all areas of commercial and company law, including commercial property, share sales and purchases, company reorganisations, shareholder agreements and all types of share transactions, partnership agreements and company formations. Membership of professional bodies and organisations: Michael holds membership of the Law Society. He previously managed the firm’s Newport office before moving to the Shropshire Commercial Centre to set up their commercial property division. |
