Robert Pearce joined the firm in 1981 following qualification as a Solicitor, having previously trained at a firm in Cardiff. He became a Partner in the mid 1980s and now has 36 years’ experience primarily as a Family Law specialist.

Robert has many years’ experience in dealing with all aspects of Family Law including divorce, Living Together Agreements and cohabitation disputes, Pre-Nuptial, Post-Nuptial and Separation Agreements, Domestic Violence Injunctions, Child Arrangement Orders (Residence/Contact), Prohibited Steps Orders, Specific Issue Orders, Parental Responsibility Orders, Relocations cases and Finding of Fact Hearings.
He also has substantial experience of dealing with claims for Financial Provision including Maintenance, Lump Sum, Property Adjustment and Pension Sharing Orders arising from divorce together with experience of claims for Financial Provision in relation to children under Schedule 1 of Children Act. Robert successfully represented a mother in a landmark case of J –v- C 1999 which is among the leading cases extending the law on financial provision for children. He brings this useful and relevant background knowledge to the field of Contentious Probate and claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975.
The rapidly growing needs of the Contentious Probate Department have led to Robert joining the Team.
