Legal Fees and Retainer Service

Employment Law and HR Retainer Service

At mfg Solicitors, our combined team of HR professionals and specialist employment law solicitors enable us to see beyond the law when delivering solutions to your employment and HR matters.

By proceeding with the Retainer Service, you would pay a budgeted monthly sum no matter how much you used our services.  This includes telephone advice, advice by email and provision of all documents to enable you to comply with HR processes.

With the breadth of experience within the team we are able to offer a premium service to our clients on an on-going basis. We work with you closely to ensure that our advice is commercial, practical and relevant to your individual requirements.

As well as preparing and assisting you with the implementation of employment documents, guiding you through internal HR issues (including grievance and disciplinary processes, managing sickness absence etc.) we are also able to provide corporate support which includes providing guidance through acquisitions and mergers.

We can assist you with all aspects of recruitment, change and performance management as well as succession planning.  As such, the services offered by the Employment Law and HR Services team are far wider than those that can be offered by other employment departments within other law firms.

You would also be added to our mailing list and receive our regular e-bulletin and employment law case updates. We also provide updates on policies and procedures as legal developments occur and can make the changes to your employment documentation on your behalf as part of the retainer.

  • This arrangement of having a monthly retainer in place would allow you to accurately budget for your legal assistance on a monthly basis. However the retainer does not cover your legal costs in relation to any Employment Tribunal claims pursued against the Company or its employee.  There is the possibility of putting in place employment insurance to cover any Employment Tribunal costs and awards in the event that you are subjected to an Employment Tribunal claim.  The insurance company is entirely separate to mfg Solicitors and any payment to them for the insurance would be paid directly to them.
