Jessica McSorley qualified as a solicitor with mfg in 2019 having trained with the Firm. Before qualifying as a solicitor, Jessica completed over one year of training with the Commercial Litigation Department. Jessica also received a broad range of training from the Corporate, Commercial Property and Agricultural Departments.
Jessica has been recognised by the Worcestershire Law Society for the last two consecutive years where she was nominated and shortlisted for the Trainee Solicitor of the Year Award and more recently the Junior Solicitor of the Year Award.
In 2021 Jessica won the prestigious and rarely presented Worcestershire Law Society President's Award.
Areas of Expertise:
Jessica works in the Commercial Litigation Department and specialises in commercial debt recovery and the issuing and defending of civil claims. Jessica has dealt with a breadth of claims but primarily focuses on breach of contract and consumer matters. Jessica is the key point of contact for wedding contract disputes.
Jessica is also experienced in the insolvency process where she has presented both bankruptcy and winding up proceedings on behalf of creditors.
Jessica regularly takes instructions from small and medium enterprises to assist with the recovery of invoice debts. Jessica is able to provide cost effective debt recovery services that are tailored to your business needs. Jessica’s knowledge of the various enforcement options means that she is able to advise you from the very outset of a claim right through to enforcement of the judgment to ensure that a recovery is made.
Jessica has over three years of experience of acting on behalf of both claimants and defendants in both small claim and fast track matters where Jessica has a strong success rate. Jessica recognises the benefits of negotiation and is able to provide strategic advice regarding settlement where deemed appropriate.
