Matt joined mfg Solicitors in November 2025, having spent the prior 15 years at leading national and international law firms.

Matt is a trusted adviser to institutional investors, corporates, owner-managed businesses and private individuals, providing strategic guidance on all aspects of corporate transactions.

Matt advises on acquisitions, disposals, restructures, joint ventures and corporate advisory matters. Known for delivering practical, commercially focused solutions, Matt ensures that every transaction aligns with both clients’ business objectives and their personal priorities.

  • Advising Reconomy (backed by EMK Capital), the UK’s leading provider of outsourced waste management and recycling services, in relation to multiple acquisitions as part of its ‘buy and build’ strategy over a 10 year period;
  • Advising regional accountancy practice BK Plus on its investment from Palatine;
  • Advising US private equity house, Acorn Capital Management, on the leveraged buy-outs of Aerospares 2000, Sentry Aerospace and EirTrade Aviation;
  • Advising US private equity house, Acorn Capital Management, on the successful closing of its single asset continuation fund in respect of Sentry Aerospares;
  • Advising Phenna Group (backed by Oakley Capital) on numerous acquisitions;
  • Advised regional accountancy practice Dains LLP on its investment from Horizon Capital;
  • Advising the shareholders of payment platform software specialists Tebex Limited on the sale of the business to the Israel-based app and monetisation experts Overwolf;
  • Advising the shareholders of the KGJ Insurance Group on their sale to NFP;
  • Advising the shareholders of Aerospheres on their sale to Audax Private Equity;
  • Advising the management team of Coventry-based Arden Fine Foods in relation to their management buyout;
  • Advising the shareholders of Pet Mate Ltd on the sale of the business to Ethos Partners LLP;
  • Advising precision casting and machining group, Expromet Technologies Group, on multiple acquisitions;
  • Advising PWC (as administrators) on the sale of Drayton Manor Park to Looping Group;
  • Advising the shareholders of M&J Evans Construction on investment from Bregal Freshstream;
  • Advising the shareholders of Infrastar on the sale of the company to Frazer Nash Consulting, a UK subsidiary of KBR Inc, a US engineering and defence group.
  • Advised the shareholders of financial services group, Superbia Group, on its investment from August Equity.
