He qualified as a Solicitor in 2015 after completing the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at Staffordshire University, and now specialises in complex child-arrangement cases, matrimonial matters and wealth protection, including pre- and post-nuptial agreements.
He joined the Family Department at George Green LLP in April 2021 and became a Partner in April 2022. Richard joined mfg as Head of Birmingham Family in December 2025.

He is committed to empowering clients who have experienced bullying, manipulation and extreme circumstances, providing them with the tools and guidance needed to break the cycle of abuse.
In recognition of his work with domestic-abuse victims, he was appointed MBE in the Queen’s New Year Honours List 2022 and was named Solicitor of the Year 2022 at the Birmingham Law Society Awards.
He later served as President of the Birmingham Law Society, focusing his tenure on amplifying under-represented voices within the legal community and championing greater inclusivity across the profession.
Richard serves as a trustee of the Heart of England Community Foundation, helping to support vulnerable communities across the West Midlands.
