Expert lawyers at mfg Solicitors make elite legal list

  • Posted

Seven solicitors from a West Midlands law firm have been named among the most outstanding in their field by appearing in a respected industry guide.

Experts at regional firm mfg Solicitors are named in the 2016 Legal 500 – the 29th edition of the legal profession’s prestigious referral guide.

The firm has been placed in the top tier for its contentious trusts and probate work, led by partner Robert Weston, who is highly recommended for the fourth year running in the industry’s ‘bible’.

mfg’s expertise in the agricultural sector, commercial litigation and family law has also been highly rated with six lawyers singled out.

Farming and estates expert, partner Iain Morrison, has been praised for the 10 year-in-a-row while colleague Helen Gough is also featured for her advice to farmers and landowners.

Litigation specialists, partner Tom Esler and associate Samuel Pedley, were described as ‘highly professional’ in resolving commercial disputes while family and divorce law partners Alison Webber and Gurdip Kaur Brring were rated highly by clients.

Aside from the individuals in the firm named by the Legal 500, mfg is highly recommended for employment and HR services, commercial property, property litigation and personal tax and trusts advice.

Maynard Burton, partner and chairman of mfg Solicitors, said: “The Legal 500 is up there as one of the most respected, independent rankings of lawyers across the world so to see us listed prominently once again is excellent to see.

“Each individual named and department listed thoroughly deserve the praise and recognition. They are at the top of their game and providing first-rate advice to clients every day.

“Special recognition must go to Robert Weston who has an outstanding track record in winning countless court cases, many of which have been complex wills and dispute matters in the high court. He is quite rightly listed as being a leader in his field.”

mfg Solicitors has eight offices across the region in Worcestershire and Shropshire.
