Can I still move house?

The government has stated that;

“People are free to move home, however the process of finding and moving into a new home is likely to be different, as those involved in the process will need to adapt practices and procedures to ensure that the risk of spread of Coronavirus is reduced as far as possible. It is vital that everyone stays alert and safe.”

Once an offer has been accepted, please contact us for a quote and we will be able to email or call you to give you an estimate of our fees. Please note that it is business as usual in respect of conveyancing here at mfg.

Can estate agents do viewings?

Estate agents can visit properties to conduct valuations, and take photos and videos. Although in-person house viewings are now permitted, the government has advised that home movers should conduct the majority of their property searches online to minimise the risk of  spreading coronavirus. You will need to contact your local estate agents to find out their particular policies in conducting viewings and attending your property.

What about ID and do I have to attend in person?

In respect of ID, once you have instructed us we will need a copy of your Identification as listed in our client care schedule. These can be emailed or posted to us. We will then use the copy supplied to carry out an electronic identity check. Therefore there is no requirement for you to attend the office which is helping minimise the risk of spreading Coronavirus.
