Two Wyre Forest solicitors swapped their briefs for lycra as they saddled up for a bike ride to raise £500 for charity.
Tom Evans and Jack Morley, from Kidderminster law firm mfg Solicitors, led a team of lawyers who cycled over 190 miles without even leaving their Birmingham Road office to complete virtual ‘Tour de mfg’.
The legal duo were raising money for the brain injury charity Headway Worcestershire, where Tom is a trustee.
The cycle challenge covered the distance between mfg’s six branches which are spread across Worcester, Birmingham, Telford, Ludlow, Bromsgrove and Kidderminster.
Led by Tom and Jack, a team of staff at the law firm took it in turns to do a 20-minute stint in the ‘static saddle’.
Tom, an associate solicitor at mfg Solicitors, said: “As a firm that handles cases involving brain injuries, we have seen first-hand the effect it has on people and their families and we know what vital work Headway does in supporting them.
“We loved doing our bit to raise money for such a great charity. We all worked hard to get match-fit for the big day and it was a great success. We really appreciate the support and donations we have received.”
Mandie Fitzgerald, Fundraising and Marketing Manager for Headway, said: “We want to thank Tom, Jack and everyone at mfg for this great, fun way of raising essential funding for Headway Worcestershire.”
Aside from the virtual bike ride, Tom and Jack will also run the Richmond Half Marathon together in support of Headway on 4 November.
