law firm back future england rugby star with sponsorship deal

  • Posted

Worcester-based law firm MFG Solicitors (MFG) has signed a deal to sponsor Worcester Warriors and England back-row star, Matt Kvesic.

Kvesic is a product of the Warriors Academy system and has forced his way into Richard Hill’s first team plans this season. In 2010, the former England Under-18 captain became the youngest ever player to appear for the Warriors in the professional era.

Kvesic, 18, has also boosted his profile with two recent tries as England Under-20s got their Six Nations campaign off to a perfect start with a narrow victory over Wales. He also put on an impressive performance in the latest 19-8 triumph over the French at Sixways. Kvesic has recently pledged his future to Worcester Warriors by signing a new contract. He was contracted for next season but has now agreed new terms beyond that period.

Maynard Burton, chairman of MFG said; “Matt is quite rightly hailed as a star of the future within English rugby and we are delighted to be associated with him. He is a class act. As a firm we are big supporters of the Warriors and being able to work with someone like Matt helps to raise the profile of grassroots rugby and the great work done by so many in and around the club.

“Matt’s professionalism and attitude is a first class example and those at the highest level of international rugby speak extremely highly of him. Warrior’s deserve to be back playing in the Premiership next season and with outstanding talents like Matt coming through the system we are certain the club will re-cement its position as a Premiership force.”

Matt Kvesic added; “I’m grateful for MFG’s support and I know how big supporters they are of the club and grassroots rugby across Worcestershire. I’ve worked hard this season and I’m fortunate to be part of such a great squad at the Warriors and with England Under-20s.

“We’ve got a big few weeks coming up and I hope I can continue to contribute to the buzz that’s around the club at the moment. There’s a renewed enthusiasm at Sixways and the support from our fans has made a massive contribution this season.”
