Law Firm Unveil New Kidderminster Headquarters

  • Posted

The new headquarters of Wyre Forest law firm MFG Solicitors has been officially opened.

Adam House, the iconic red-brick building on Kidderminster’s Birmingham Road, was opened at a ceremony on Wednesday 5th October by VIP guest Lord Cobham and chairman of MFG, Maynard Burton. They were joined by 260 guests from across the Midlands.

Lord Cobham, the 12th Viscount Cobham who has won plaudits for his restoration of the county’s Palladian Hagley Hall, was given a guided tour of the refurbished offices by the firm’s partners after unveiling a commemorative plaque marking the official opening.

Around 70 of MFG’s partners and staff are now based at the 1928-built, three-story building having moved in earlier this summer. It provides 14,000 square feet of office accommodation.

Chairman of MFG Solicitors Maynard Burton said: “Like all local people we are immensely proud of Adam House and how the refurbishment project has propelled it back to its former glory. It is a magnificent building which is not only a flagship for our firm, but a boost for Kidderminster. Adam House is already acting as a focal point for our clients from across the region and beyond and everyone who visits agrees how stunning it looks, both inside and out.

“We were delighted Lord Cobham joined us for the official opening as he has been an inspiration through his tireless work to turn around the fortunes of Hagley Hall, one of the area’s most treasured stately homes. Having him here at Adam House helped to underline the importance of the regeneration of Worcestershire’s historic buildings. I would like to thank him once again for his support.”

Lord Cobham added: “Adam House is spectacular and the careful modernisation project has respected the building’s countless original features. Everyone at MFG Solicitors can be proud to be playing their part in the next phase of the building’s future. The firm are strongly steeped in the history of the area and I can’t think of anyone more fitting than MFG to call Adam House home. I was honoured to be part of the official opening of a building which will contribute so much to Kidderminster and its image.”
