Regional law firm mfg Solicitors has announced three new partner promotions as part of the firm’s long-term growth strategy.
Taxation and trust specialist Gary Priest has been promoted to partner within the firm’s private client division. Part of the well-established and expanding tax team, he joined mfg in 2005 building a respected reputation for his advice across the rural and agricultural business sectors. Based at mfg’s Kidderminster headquarters, the 43-year-old is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
Residential conveyancing expert Andrew Davies, who joined mfg in 2003, has also become a partner. Head of the residential property division, the 46-year-old is based at mfg’s Telford office and has developed a wide client base advising on all aspects of residential conveyancing – including developers and those purchasing high-value country properties.
Completing the trio of partner promotions is family specialist Katherine Tippetts. Katherine, 34, has over 10 years’ experience in dealing with a diverse number of finance-related matrimonial matters and disputes. Based across the firm’s Worcestershire and Shropshire offices, she is into her fifth year with mfg and has become a regular commentator in the region’s media on key family law issues.
Maynard Burton, partner and chairman of mfg Solicitors said: “Gary, Andrew and Katherine are three immensely talented lawyers and each fully deserve their promotions.
“They highlight the strength and depth of talent we have at the firm as we look to further growth over the next 12 months and beyond.
“Their expertise continues to greatly enhance our services in the taxation, property and family divisions respectively, and I am certain they will continue to make important contributions to the success of the firm in the years ahead.”
The three promotions are the latest in a string of moves at the 27-partner firm which now employs 140 solicitors and support staff across their five main offices in Worcestershire and Shropshire.
