A Shropshire law firm has boosted its farming and rural credentials with the appointment of a specialist partner.
Agricultural and landed estate expert Susan Morrissy has joined Telford-based MFG Solicitors from Worcestershire practice Thursfields.
Over a 22-year career, Ms Morrissy has built a nationally-admired reputation specialising in all aspects of agricultural law, farm tenancy advice and country estate and property transactions.
Commenting on her appointment, she said: “Joining the team at MFG Solicitors was an easy decision to make. The firm has a leading reputation within the rural and farming communities for quality and professional advice.
“I hope to add even more experience to an already well-established team and contribute in developing the firm’s rural credentials further.
“It is an exciting time to join what I and many others see as one of Shropshire’s strongest and most successful law firms.”
Sarah Denney-Richards, partner and head of the firm’s agriculture and rural division said: “Susan brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our team and she is already proving to be a valuable asset. She has a magnificent reputation across not only Shropshire, but the UK as well.
“Susan will be an immense asset to the firm as we develop the breadth of services we provide farmers, landowners and a host of other rural businesses and individuals.”
Ms Denney-Richards added: “We are currently seeing a period of strong growth with more and more new rural clients trusting us to handle their affairs. That upturn is down to the knowledge and professionalism here at MFG and I have no doubt Susan will contribute to even more our success in the months and years ahead.”
