Wyre Forest Law Firm Raises £6,625 For Eye Charity

  • Posted

A Wyre Forest law firm has made a significant donation to local eye charity, Sight Concern.

Kidderminster-based MFG Solicitors has handed over a cheque for £6,625 to the charity following a recent discounted Will writing initiative – a campaign which saw over 130 people across the Wyre Forest drawing up single Wills for only £50.00.

The money raised will be used to back Sight Concern’s ongoing campaign to raise awareness of their services and support network across the district.

Fiona Barnes, partner and head of the private client division at MFG Solicitors, said: “The response to our discounted Wills promotion was tremendous. Not only has it helped more people across Kidderminster put their future affairs in order, but it has helped raise a great amount of money to support one of the area’s hardest working charities.”

Laura Smith, an assistant solicitor at the law firm and co-ordinator of the campaign added: “The volunteers and support workers at Sight Concern in Kidderminster do a vast amount of inspirational work behind the scenes to support people affected by sight loss. The charity makes a real difference to people’s lives and everyone at MFG Solicitors is delighted to be making a contribution.”
